This Acceptable Use Policy (the “AUP”) lays out what vendors, buyers, and developers may and may not do on the {{COMPANY_SHORT_NAME}} platform. It supplements the Terms of Use; a violation of this AUP is a violation of those Terms.

Prohibited products

You may not list, advertise, sell, distribute, or solicit:

  • Controlled substances in any jurisdiction where they are controlled.
  • Prescription-only drugs sold without a valid prescription, or any drug that requires DEA registration that the vendor has not obtained.
  • Products marketed for human ingestion, injection, inhalation, or therapeutic use, unless the vendor is lawfully permitted to do so.
  • Products that require regulatory approval (e.g., FDA approval) and have not obtained it.
  • Products that misrepresent their identity, purity, or potency. COAs and lot records must be authentic and current.
  • Products that are diverted from another lawful channel (gray-market diversion, sample diversion, returned-goods relisting without disclosure).

Prohibited conduct

  • Spam. No unsolicited marketing — through messaging, reviews, Q&A, or any other surface.
  • Scraping. No automated extraction of listings, catalogs, reviews, or vendor data outside the public REST API and your own workspace data.
  • Reverse engineering. No probing the platform’s internals for vulnerabilities outside the scope of our responsible-disclosure process (see Security).
  • Impersonation. No pretending to be another vendor, buyer, employee of {{COMPANY_SHORT_NAME}}, or a third-party brand you do not represent.
  • Review manipulation. No fake reviews, paid reviews, review-trading rings, or coercion of buyers/vendors to alter a review.
  • Harassment. No abusive, threatening, or discriminatory messages to other users or to {{COMPANY_SHORT_NAME}} staff.

API and infrastructure

  • Respect published rate limits. Do not attempt to bypass them with multiple API keys or distributed IPs.
  • Webhook endpoints must be controlled by you. Do not use a third party’s endpoint as an outbound webhook destination for amplification, reflection, or attack.
  • Do not use the platform’s outbound email or SMS surfaces to send content you would not be willing to send under your own name.
  • Do not use the platform to host or distribute malware, phishing pages, or other malicious content.

Enforcement

We may, without prior notice, remove a listing, remove a review or comment, suspend a vendor or buyer account, throttle an API key, or terminate access to the platform for any conduct that we reasonably believe violates this AUP or the Terms of Use. We may also report unlawful conduct to the appropriate authorities.

Reports of violations go to {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}} with the subject line “Abuse report”, or through the in-product report button on the offending surface. Vendor suspension appeals go through the Help channel in the Sell app, which remains reachable even while a vendor is suspended.
